Helldivers 2 Sales Estimates Suggest It's Selling Well On Xbox So Far!

Fans have been curious to see how Helldivers 2 would perform on Xbox Series X|S after its release last week, and while official numbers haven’t been shared yet, early estimates paint a very strong picture.

According to data from Alinea Analytics, the game moved just under one million units on Xbox in its first six days—an impressive feat for a title that originally launched a year and a half ago.

“PlayStation published Helldivers 2 on Xbox on the same day as the Gears Reloaded launch. As of yesterday (six days after launch), Helldivers 2 landed 926K copies on Xbox,” the report states.

For comparison, the PS5 release managed around 633,000 copies in its first six days back in February 2024. That means the Xbox version is already ahead by nearly 300,000 sales—a remarkable turnaround given no one could have predicted the game’s breakout success at the time.

“The pent-up demand for this incredible game speaks for itself,” Alinea adds.

The strong performance also raises interesting questions for the future of PlayStation titles on Xbox. With Sony likely monitoring this launch very carefully, numbers like these could encourage more PS5 exclusives to make their way over to Microsoft’s consoles in the months and years ahead.
