Six more games will join Xbox Game Pass in October, including the likes of Ninja Gaiden 4 and the highly anticipated sequel, The Outer Worlds 2.
October is shaping up to be a standout month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, with six games already locked in. The line-up mixes big-budget releases from Microsoft’s own studios—Double Fine and Obsidian Entertainment—with several smaller but equally intriguing additions.
With a highly anticipated space RPG sequel from Obsidian, a new action-adventure from Xbox Game Studios, and a handful of unique indie experiences, this could easily turn out to be one of the strongest Game Pass drops we’ve seen in quite some time. Here’s a look at everything confirmed so far for October 2025.
Ball x Pit - 15th October 2025 - Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & PC
Devolver Digital is betting big on Ball x Pit—so much so that this year’s Devolver Direct showcased only this game. Hitting both PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on October 15, the title puts a creative twist on the old-school brick-breaker formula.
Created by solo developer Kenny Sun, Ball x Pit blends several genres into one. It’s described as a “brick-breaking, ball-fusing, base-building survival roguelite,” where players launch ricocheting balls to smash waves of enemies, collect treasures from the pit, and use those resources to grow their base, generate materials, and recruit a roster of unique heroes.
Keeper - 17th October 2025 - Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & PC
The first Xbox Game Studios release hitting Game Pass this October is Keeper, the latest creation from Double Fine. This imaginative adventure casts you as a living lighthouse that discovers an unexpected sense of purpose. Guided by a lively seabird, you’ll journey deep into the island’s heart, uncovering a tale of transformation and companionship along the way.
Keeper launches on October 17, 2025, and will be available day one on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate.
Ninja Gaiden 4 - 21st October 2025 - Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & PC
One of the biggest highlights of the month is Ninja Gaiden 4, a long-anticipated sequel brought to life by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, with publishing handled by Xbox Game Studios. This entry introduces dual protagonists—series icon Ryu Hayabusa and newcomer Yakumo—who join forces in high-speed, relentless battles to lift an ancient curse threatening Tokyo.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer: Ninja Gaiden 4 joins both PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on October 21, 2025.
Bounty Star - 23rd October 2025 - Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & PC
What happens when you mash up mech combat, homestead building, and bounty hunting? You get Bounty Star. In this third-person action game, you play as Clem, a battle-scarred pilot trying to turn her life around. With the Desert Raptor MKII at your command, you’ll stomp across a dusty, “post-post-apocalyptic” Southwest, chasing down targets and cashing in bounties—while also tending your base and fields back home.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault - 23rd October 2025 - Xbox Game Pass Ultimate & PC
Get ready to dust off your merchant’s apron and sharpen your sword—Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is arriving in Game Preview on PC and PC Game Pass this October 23, 2025. (Console adventurers will need to hang tight a bit longer!)
In true Moonlighter fashion, you’ll juggle two lives: brave explorer by night, savvy shopkeeper by day.
