Xbox Game Pass Kicks Off 2026 With Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, Brews & Bastards!

Xbox Game Pass has received a surprise early update ahead of tomorrow’s first wave of January 2026 additions, with Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition and Brews & Bastards now available to download.

In addition, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has joined the Ubisoft Classics collection for Game Pass subscribers, rounding out today’s newly added titles.

Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition

Originally released in October 2025, Xbox Game Pass Kicks Off 2026 with Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition and this one revisits the beloved atmospheric horror platformer with modern upgrades. The enhanced version features 4K resolution support, a 60 FPS performance target, and a variety of visual improvements designed for current-generation hardware.

For players who missed the original—or want an excuse to return—this edition offers the definitive way to experience the unsettling world of The Maw.

Brews & Bastards

Brews & Bastards launched in September 2025 and arrives on Game Pass with little fanfare but plenty of personality. The game is a co-op-focused twin-stick shooter packed with chaotic combat, crude humour, and an emphasis on couch or online play.

Despite currently having no Metacritic reviews, the game leans hard into its boozy, brawler-style identity, making it a potential sleeper hit for players looking for something different.

Ubisoft Classics Update

Alongside these Game Pass additions, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available through Ubisoft Classics for Game Pass Premium members. The title returns the franchise to a more focused, stealth-driven experience inspired by earlier Assassin’s Creed entries.

With today’s early drop out of the way, all eyes are now on Microsoft’s full January 2026 Wave One announcement, expected to land tomorrow.
