Three for One.

I'm quite pleased with the Xbox 3 for 1 offer, where you can select three from a list of titles, for the price of the most expensive one. This time, I purchased Echo Generations, Ravenlok and Ved - each of which is priced at $24.99 - essentially obtaining a 2/3rds discount on each.

(There are times I suspect that Microsoft has a mission to make my backlog keep growing, such are the sales on Xbox).

Backwards Compatibility.

One of the standout features of the Xbox ecosystem, backwards compatibility is game preservation in action. Though it's a pity that Microsoft has halted the back-compat program, and also unfortunate that many back-compat titles don't go on sale, (such as Gyromancer, the Otogi games, Sacred Citadel, Torchlight, etc.. to name a few). Even worse, some of the back-compat titles are no longer available for purchase, (such as the original Defense Grid)

Nonetheless, one of the finest experiences one can have is playing the old classics on newer hardware, especially if they've been enhanced to take advantage of it.

Free offline games.

It's rarely mentioned that Xbox offers a number of completely free games that can be played offline - such as Crackdown, Crackdown 2, Inops, Phantom Dust and Too Human, to name a few.

Demos

I've been enjoying some exceptional roguelite demos on Xbox recently, namely the demo for Deadzone: Rogue, and for Ink. Also played through the two-hour trial of the Knightling, which I found charming, cheerful and altogether, very pleasant.

The Series X is, in my view, easily the most underrated console of this decade.

Definitely the most underrated of this generation!

I love that Xbox give light to the indies during the demo event and it's why I'm such a big advocate for ID@Xbox
